Bucharest enters the cold season with three skating areas covering all preferences: Caro IceLand – one of the city’s best-known outdoor rinks, the free skating rink at Colosseum Mall, and the rink within the Metropolitan Winter Fair in Circul Park. Each offers a different type of experience, from structured lessons to weekend activities and child-friendly zones.

Caro IceLand – open from 29 November 2025

The rink on Barbu Văcărescu reopens with a stable schedule and an infrastructure aimed at families. The space supports both recreational skating and beginner training sessions conducted with specialized instructors. Evening slots are reserved for hockey sessions for both children and adults.

The venue includes a heated tent used for private events or themed evenings, and the food-truck area operates throughout the day, offering quick snacks and hot drinks.

The free skating rink at Colosseum Mall

The festive season (December 2025 – 4 January 2026) includes a free rink open to all age groups. Entry is granted based on a same-day shopping receipt from any store in the mall.

Schedule:

Monday–Friday: 12:00–22:00
Saturday–Sunday: 10:00–22:00

In addition to skating, visitors benefit from weekend creative workshops and meet-and-greet sessions with Santa Claus, turning the area into a popular seasonal destination for families.

The skating rink at the Metropolitan Winter Fair – Circul Park

The fair runs from 1 December 2025 to 8 January 2026, with free access to the event grounds. The space combines indoor and outdoor activities, and the outdoor rink remains one of the main attractions.

Besides the rink, visitors will find a carousel, bumper cars for children, photo areas, and stands with treats and souvenirs.

The fair offers a compact, easy-to-navigate setup with varied activities, well suited for families with young children.
