August 2025 promises a rich lineup of concerts, festivals, and cultural events that will bring life to the summer evenings of the Capital. Bucharest becomes a stage for a variety of musical experiences – from indie, rock, and folk, to jazz, electronic, and classical music. Many of these events take place in unconventional or open-air venues, offering memorable experiences for the public.

The month kicks off with festivals and themed parties

On August 1st, the Capital comes alive with several events happening simultaneously. The Strada Armenească Festival returns between August 1–3 to the Botanical Garden, bringing Armenian traditions to the heart of Bucharest. The festival features live music, dance, traditional cuisine, and workshops for all ages.

Also on the first day of the month, the All You Can Party: Fiesta España turns Club Naive into a colorful Iberian corner full of music and energy. Entry is ticket-based, and the atmosphere promises to be electric.

At Expirat Halele Carol, the band OCS celebrates 28 years of activity with an anniversary concert dedicated to both old and new fans. The August 1st event is highly anticipated, especially as tickets are selling out quickly.

Live music and relaxed rooftop evenings

The Rooftop Season series at the National Theatre of Bucharest continues on August 5th with a COMA concert, followed by The Mono Jacks on August 12th, and Toulouse Lautrec on August 21st. These rooftop concerts offer a unique urban vibe in a spectacular setting above the city.

On August 6th, audiences can enjoy something different: Șpriț cu Radu Guran – 100% Improvizat, a humorous, music-infused improv show at Brera Bucharest. The next evening, August 7th, the folk band Fără Zahăr performs an acoustic, laid-back concert on the Quantic terrace.

Major festivals and single releases

Between August 8–10, Summer Well 2025 returns to Domeniul Știrbey with an impressive lineup, artistic setups, and relaxation zones. It remains one of the most popular summer festivals, loved by the young and cosmopolitan crowd.

In the alternative rock scene, on August 13th, Vița de Vie performs at Expirat, while on August 14th, the open-air amphitheater at the National Theatre hosts a special event: Alexandra Ușurelu presents Pe sub stele-n sus. That same night, the band Niște Băieți brings their signature humor and riffs back to Expirat.

On August 15th, rock fans can catch Adam Bomb live, in an explosive show as part of the Fire Bomb and Glitter Cabaret Tour, hosted by Encore.

On August 20th, singer Ana Coman launches a new single at Expirat – a much-anticipated event for fans of the alternative genre.

Jazz, folk, and classical music in the final days of August

On August 21st, alongside the Toulouse Lautrec concert, Quantic also hosts a jazz evening with Maria Răducanu & Soul Serenade, in an intimate, refined atmosphere.

On August 24th, the George Enescu Festival returns to Sala Palatului, running until September 21st. The official opening takes place at 8:00 PM and will be followed by a series of symphonic concerts, recitals, and famous operas performed by internationally renowned artists.

Also on August 24th, Ada Milea, together with Bobo Burlăcianu and Alex Neagu, will perform two shows at Quantic: a children's performance – Apolodor, and a general audience show – Concert în 3, both filled with humor, poetry, and musical improvisation.

On August 28th, Valeria Stoica returns to the TNB rooftop stage for an emotional concert, and over the August 29–31 weekend, Mogoșoaia Palace becomes home to the Big Little Festival 2025 – a blend of music, kids’ activities, chill-out areas, and food courts.

At the same time, the band byron performs an alternative concert at Expirat Halele Carol, continuing the venue’s streak of high-quality live events.
