The newest type of parking subscription in Bucharest: mall subscriptions. Rates and conditions

Until a few years ago, a parking subscription in Bucharest meant almost exclusively a blue curbside spot, run by City Hall. One of the newest types of subscription to show up in the city comes from somewhere else: shopping malls. Free parking near a mall is getting harder to find, especially during rush hour or on weekends, and mall operators have turned that scarcity into a clear service — a monthly subscription with a guaranteed or near-guaranteed spot in the private garage. Prices start at 300 lei and climb toward 400, depending on the mall and the parking level.
Mega Mall — 300 lei/month, but with a 2-year contract
Mega Mall has 3,000 parking spots, 1,000 of them on the rooftop, reachable directly from the street. The subscription costs 300 lei a month, subject to availability, and the exact level you're assigned is set in the contract.
You can't take the subscription for just one month. The contract is signed for a minimum of 3 months, paid upfront, and the full agreement runs for 2 years. For individuals the rate is 300 lei VAT included/month/car; for companies, 300 lei + VAT/month/car, also paid 3 months in advance. Signing the contract also requires a 250-lei deposit, refundable within 30 days of the contract ending and the access card being returned.
Veranda Mall — between 350 and 400 lei
At Veranda, the monthly subscription runs between 350 and 400 lei. For details on terms and availability, the mall can be reached at office@verandamall.ro or 0799 199 487.
Promenada — unassigned spot, on level -3
Promenada gives subscribers parking access Monday through Sunday, between 06:00 and 24:00. The spot isn't assigned to a specific car — you simply have the right to a spot on level -3 for as long as the subscription is valid.
If level -3 is full, the mall redirects subscribers to level -2. To renew, you need to notify the administration a week before expiration, or risk losing continuous access.
Bucuresti Mall — subscription by individual agreement
Here things are less standardized. The number of spots available for subscription and their exact location are set through an agreement signed separately with each client, and rates are only available on request, via Infodesk.BM@anchorgrup.ro.
General parking access runs from 08:00 to 24:00. The exceptions are parking subscribers, who have access under their own contract, casino patrons on site, who have unlimited access within any 24-hour period, and moviegoers, who get extended access until 03:00.
AFI Cotroceni — information on request only
AFI Cotroceni doesn't publish its subscription rate. Anyone interested has to write to afiparkinq@afi-europe.ro or operational.cotroceni@afi-europe.ro, or call 0756 057 141.
Sun Plaza — level -2, yellow zone
At Sun Plaza, the subscription gives access to an unassigned spot on level -2, in the garage's yellow zone. The subscriber schedule matches Promenada's: Monday to Sunday, 06:00-24:00.
For comparison: what a blue curbside spot costs
For anyone who'd rather skip a mall subscription, there are still the blue spots run by the Bucharest Municipal Parking Company. The hourly rate is 5 lei, in effect since 2023, charged during the hours posted at each parking area — the exact schedule can vary slightly by zone. There's also a day pass for 30 lei. For the monthly subscription, published figures differ depending on the source and the zone, so the safest move is to check the current price directly in the Parking București app or on cmpb.ro rather than relying on a single fixed number.
Unlike that system, which works on any free blue spot in the city, mall subscriptions tie you to a single parking level and, often, to a long-term contract.
