The National Theater "Ion Luca Caragiale" in Bucharest (TNB) is a symbol of the Romanian theatrical tradition and an uncontested place of culture in the capital. Located in the center of Bucharest, on Nicolae Balcescu Boulevard, this colossus of dramatic art was founded in 1852 and proudly bears the name of the great playwright Ion Luca Caragiale. The National Theatre, which has established and continues to launch new talents, remains a meeting place between past and present, where classical tradition meets modern and innovative visions.

The TNB is a Romanian space of European standard: equipped not only with 7 performance spaces (six closed halls and an open-air amphitheater) in which the current repertoire (40 titles! ), but also with large foyers for exhibitions of various kinds, a reading room for theatrical documentation - spaces in which various transdisciplinary projects can be carried out - and, in the future, with a future TNB Museum, a bookshop, bars, cafés, a restaurant, etc. designed to attract a large number of visitors throughout the day, not just during the performances.

Over the decades, the TNB has been home to many exceptional productions that have remained in the memory of audiences and critics alike, and is recognized for the diversity and quality of its performances. From the classics of universal drama to contemporary productions, the National Theatre offers a wide range of productions, each with its own particular emotional force. Behind the curtain is a team of renowned actors, prestigious directors and talented set designers who put passion into every detail, and the set design is often a masterpiece in itself, perfectly complementing the atmosphere of each play.
