West Side Christmas Market, the fair created by Untold Universe in partnership with the Sector 6 City Hall, will open its gates this Friday at 5:00 PM in Drumul Taberei Park. The festive lights will be switched on, fireworks will follow, and the evening will feature a live concert by Andia.

From November 28 to December 27, Bucharest residents can attend concerts by Smiley, Loredana, Fuego, Vunk, Viorica Pintilie, Simona Delegeanu, Damian & Brothers, Andia and Breeze.

Opening program

On Friday at 5:00 PM, a new chapter of the West Side Christmas Market winter fairytale begins. Thousands of people are expected in Drumul Taberei Park, Sector 6, to celebrate the official start of the holiday season. The evening schedule:

• 5:00 PM – Opening of the fair
• 7:00 PM – Lighting of the festive decorations and fireworks show
• 7:30 PM – Andia live concert

For 30 days, West Side Christmas Market becomes one of the season’s key destinations: live shows by some of Romania’s most beloved artists, evenings of carols, activities for children, seasonal food, family-friendly programs and, of course, the long-awaited visit from Santa Claus. The fair is open daily:

Monday–Friday: 3:00 PM – 10:00 PM
 Saturday–Sunday: 11:00 AM – 10:00 PM
 On public holidays, the weekend schedule applies. Admission is free.

“West Side Christmas Market is self-financed, just like all our major events. We don’t spend local budget money; on the contrary, we generate revenue. What makes this fair special? Beyond the stunning decorations, the magical park setting, the concerts and children’s activities, the atmosphere is unique—warm and joyful—because the entire community is involved. Everyone contributes,” said Ciprian Ciucu, Mayor of Sector 6.

Attractions at the 2025 edition of West Side Christmas Market

Children will find a large 750-square-meter ice rink (significantly bigger than last year), a fairy-tale carousel and a 33-meter panoramic wheel. The bridge will also be illuminated.

Santa’s House has been expanded to 100 square meters, and the reindeer’s route to Lapland comes to life through virtual-reality experiences.

Adults can enjoy a heated outdoor terrace.

Visitors will find 60 cottages offering food, seasonal desserts, mulled wine and gifts from local artisans. The culinary experience is completed by eight food trucks.
