On January 15, National Culture Day, the Bulandra Cinematheque opens with a theatrical and cinematic marathon. Over 12 hours of video materials from the TVR Archive, the event traces part of the history of Bulandra Theatre and the legendary stories told on its stages.

The event takes place Thursday at the “Liviu Ciulei” Hall (Izvor), from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Free admission, subject to seat availability.

• 10:00 – Director’s Portrait: Alexandru Darie (30 min)
• 11:00 – The Wasted Morning by Gabriela Adameșteanu, Bulandra production from the TVR Archive, directed by Cătălina Buzoianu (3 h 40 min)
  – Actress Portrait: Tamara Buciuceanu (30 min)
• 15:00 – Gin-Rummy by Donald Coburn, Bulandra production from the TVR Archive, directed and designed by Liviu Ciulei (1 h 35 min)
  – Actress Portrait: Gina Patrichi (25 min)
• 17:00 – Toma After Twenty Years, documentary from the TVR Archive, directed by Dominic Dembinski (1 h 20 min)
  – Actor Portrait: Octavian Cotescu (30 min)
• 19:00 – Uncle Vanya by Anton Chekhov, Bulandra production from the TVR Archive, directed by Yuri Kordonsky
