Two men who physically assaulted two women on a street in Bucharest’s Sector 5 and then vandalized two parked cars in the area — shattering the rear windows and leaving visible signs of damage — are being sought by police.
According to representatives from the Bucharest Police, on Sunday, officers from Police Precinct 19 were notified by two women, aged 30 and 32, who reported being physically assaulted by two men near their residence, on a street in Sector 5.
Police immediately launched an investigation and identified the two men suspected of committing the assault.
“Shortly afterward, officers from Precinct 19 received another 112 emergency call reporting that several individuals were disturbing the peace and vandalizing cars on Amurgului Street, also in Sector 5. Officers responded urgently and confirmed the report on the scene, identifying two vehicles with visible damage — including shattered rear windshields and signs of impact,” police officials stated.
Authorities later confirmed that the same two men suspected of the assault were also responsible for public disorder and property damage.
“During the entire process, the two women remained at the police station for questioning. Several witnesses are also being brought in for further investigation. We emphasize that order has been restored and no one was injured,” the statement added.
Police continue their efforts to locate the suspects and determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
