The sixth edition of the “Festival Square” project will be held between September 17–21 in George Enescu Square in central Bucharest, announced the organizers – Bucharest City Hall through ARCUB – the Cultural Center of the Municipality of Bucharest – in partnership with ARTEXIM, an institution under the Ministry of Culture.
Festival Square is one of the most anticipated and accessible extensions of the prestigious George Enescu International Festival. Conceived as an open-air stage in the heart of the Capital, Festival Square opens the world of classical music to all Bucharest residents and visitors through free concerts featuring renowned ensembles and soloists. For the first time, this edition is co-financed together with ARTEXIM.
By organizing the Festival Square, Bucharest City Hall and ARCUB reaffirm their commitment to bringing classical music closer to the public and integrating it into the city’s daily life. This direction continues ARCUB’s series of projects that open the arts to the community – from festivals and street events to exhibitions, theater performances, and transforming boulevards and squares into meeting places with art. Aimed at a diverse audience – from music lovers to tourists and casual passersby – the project makes great masterpieces of classical music accessible beyond concert halls, turning them into part of Bucharest’s life and identity.
