Summer school for children aged 9 to 14 at the “Grigore Antipa” Museum

The National Museum of Natural History “Grigore Antipa” is organizing its 2025 Summer School, taking place between June 23 and September 5. The program is designed for children aged 9 to 14 years and offers a fun and educational experience centered around nature and science.
For seven weeks, participants will engage in activities focused on learning about and protecting nature, including direct interactions with museum researchers.
Weekly Modules
Courses run Monday to Friday, from 10:15 AM to 12:15 PM, in the Atelier Room and the museum garden. There are seven themed modules, each guided by specialists in their field:
- Module I (June 23–27): The Hour of Birds
Coordinator: Dr. Andrei Ştefan - Module II (June 30 – July 4): In Search of Eight-Legged Creatures – Arachnids
Coordinators: Dr. Costică Adam & Dr. Ioana Cristina Constantinescu - Module III (July 7–11): Explorers of the Depths – Crustaceans
Coordinators: Dr. Ana-Maria Petrescu & PhD Student Maxim-Jean Bâlcu - Module IV (July 14–18): The Curious and Fascinating World of Butterflies
Coordinator: Dr. Mihai Stănescu - Module V (July 21–25): Nature Under the Microscope
Coordinators: Dr. Ana Maria Krapal, Dr. Alexandra Popa, Dr. Rozalia Magda Motoc, Larisa Bianca Farcaş & volunteer Sasha Andrei Scotniţchi - Module VI (July 28 – August 1): Insect Academy
Coordinator: PhD Student Andreea Cătălina Drăghici - Module VII (September 1–5): Animals Underground
Coordinator: Ruxandra Niţescu
At the end of each module, participants will receive certificates of participation and surprise prizes.

- Maximum capacity: 15 children per group
- Fees:
- 300 RON / module / child
- 560 RON / module for two siblings
- 560 RON / two modules for the same child
Enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis, depending on availability.
