Services inside the National Cathedral on St. Andrew’s Day and on National Day / Visiting schedule

The Romanian Patriarchate has announced the service schedule at the National Cathedral for the Feast of Saint Andrew the First-Called, Protector of Romania and of the National Cathedral (November 30), as well as for the celebration of Romania’s National Day (December 1).

On November 30, from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM, the services of Midnight Office, Matins and the Hours will take place, followed by the hierarchical Divine Liturgy from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

All services will be held inside the National Cathedral, and starting at 7:00 AM, access will be open to all worshippers. Seating will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

The reliquary containing the relics of Saint Andrew and its canopy will be brought out for veneration starting at 7:00 AM, placed in the open porch of the National Cathedral, where the mosaic icon of Saint Andrew is located. They will remain there until 7:00 PM, when they will be brought back inside the Cathedral.

On December 1, 2025, Romania’s National Day, a Te Deum (thanksgiving service) will take place at 12:00 PM inside the National Cathedral. The service will be officiated by Bishop Paisie Sinaitul, Patriarchal Auxiliary Bishop, together with a group of priests and deacons. Access for worshippers will begin at 11:00 AM, free of charge, with seating assigned in the order of arrival. After the Te Deum concludes, the Cathedral will remain open to pilgrims until 7:00 PM.

On December 2, the National Cathedral will be open for visiting between 11:00 AM and 7:00 PM.

Between December 3 and 23, the National Cathedral will be closed to the public due to ongoing interior works.
