One person died following a collision between a car and a truck that occurred Tuesday morning on Bucharest’s ring road, near the town of Mogoșoaia, Ilfov County.

According to the INFOTRAFIC Center of the General Inspectorate of the Romanian Police, the accident happened on National Road DN Centura București, at kilometer 68+600, in the Mogoșoaia area.

 "As a result of the collision, the car driver was killed, while the truck driver sustained minor injuries and was transported to the hospital conscious," stated representatives of the INFOTRAFIC Center. 

Traffic is currently slowed, with the second lane in both directions closed. Authorities estimate that traffic will return to normal within 45 minutes.
