Sector 6 City Hall has reported a major water main break this afternoon in the Drumul Taberei area, after the main cold water pipe burst. The incident affected the green space near the intersection of Brașov Street and Drumul Taberei Boulevard. In order to carry out the necessary repairs, Apa Nova has requested that ten trees be cut down to allow access for excavation.

Although the water valve was shut off, by the time intervention teams arrived at the scene, water had already flooded the sidewalk and roadway. The repair work is currently being handled by Apa Nova Bucharest, the utility company managing the city’s water and sewage infrastructure, under the authority of the General City Hall.

Teams from ISU (Emergency Services) and ADPDU Sector 6 (Public Domain Administration) are also on site assisting.

City Hall acknowledged the damage to the green space and expressed regret over the incident, assuring residents that the area will be restored once repairs are complete.
