This weekend, Calea Victoriei and Strada Râmnicu Vâlcea will turn into lively public spaces filled with performances, concerts, exhibitions, and activities for all ages as part of the “Străzi deschise – Bucharest” program.

From morning until evening, Calea Victoriei transforms into a cultural promenade where visitors can explore the city’s heritage and enjoy unexpected artistic moments. Frescoes of the Văcărești Monastery after 40 Years.

Strada Râmnicu Vâlcea – theater and play for the community

In Sector 3, Strada Râmnicu Vâlcea becomes a friendly, community-centered stage. Children and families are invited to enjoy theater performances such as The Three Little Pigs (Excelsior Theatre) and Memories in a Suitcase (Ion Creangă Theatre), while audiences of all ages can watch Pearls on the Cobblestones by the Jewish State Theatre.

The street will come alive with stilt walkers, mimes, and acrobats on unicycles, while interactive workshops, face painting, and sports games—from basketball and ping pong to giant board games—turn the area into an urban playground. The evening closes with folk, light music, and percussion concerts performed by artists from the Bucharest School of Arts.

Street Delivery – a partner project of “Străzi deschise – Bucharest”

From September 26–28, Arthur Verona Street will host a new edition of Street Delivery, a partner event that brings the community together through creative writing workshops, exhibitions, guided tours, organ concerts, and debates. The street becomes a space for ideas and rediscovering Bucharest through culture and dialogue.
