Meteorologists forecast storms and possible hail in Bucharest on Friday evening

The degree of atmospheric instability will be high on Friday afternoon in Bucharest, when there will be periods of heavy cloud cover, intensification of the wind, storms with gusts of 50–70 km/h, lightning, and showers that will also be torrential.
“The weather will remain hot, with high thermal discomfort; the maximum temperature will be around 35 degrees Celsius, and the temperature-humidity index (THI) will exceed the critical threshold of 80 units. The degree of atmospheric instability will be high in the afternoon and evening, with periods of heavy cloud cover, strong wind gusts (50–70 km/h), lightning, and showers that will also be torrential (5–10 l/sq.m, locally over 15 l/sq.m),” the cited document states.
Hailstorms will also be possible, and the minimum temperature will range between 16 and 18 degrees Celsius.
Meteorologists also remind that, on August 22 between 12:00 PM and 9:00 PM, the city of Bucharest will simultaneously be under a yellow code weather advisory for heat and high thermal discomfort, as well as a yellow code advisory for atmospheric instability.
