Traffic levels are high on Monday afternoon on the A1 motorway at the entrance to Bucharest, as well as near Pitești and in the area of Margina, Timiș County, according to the Infotraffic Center. There is also congestion on several national roads, including DN1 in the resort areas along the Prahova Valley, where visibility is reduced due to heavy rainfall, DN2 near Focșani, as well as DN7 and DN39.

The Romanian Police's Infotraffic Center reports that, as of 2:00 PM, traffic conditions on the main roadways are as follows:

  12. DN73A Râșnov – Predeal: High traffic volume between Pârâul Rece and Predeal, with vehicle queues forming at the junction with DN1 Brașov – Ploiești.

Traffic police advise drivers to adapt their speed according to road and traffic conditions, consider using alternative routes, avoid any risky maneuvers—especially dangerous overtaking of traffic queues—stay focused at the wheel, maintain a safe following distance to allow for secure stopping, and adopt calm and defensive driving behavior, avoiding any form of aggression. They also stress not to drive under the influence of alcohol or prohibited substances.
