Bucharest residents will soon be able to fly directly to the Middle East and the Caucasus. Dan Air will launch flights from Henri Coandă International Airport to Amman, Yerevan and Tbilisi this summer, with tickets already available for purchase.

When do the flights start and how often do they run

The first route to launch is Bucharest–Amman, the capital of Jordan, starting on July 1, 2026. Flights will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Three days later, on July 4, 2026, Dan Air will also inaugurate routes to Yerevan, the capital of Armenia, and Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia. Both will run twice a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

All flights will be operated with an Airbus A320 configured in a single cabin class, with 180 seats.

What are the prices

Tickets are available on the Dan Air website. Fares for Bucharest–Tbilisi and Bucharest–Amman start from €79.90 one way, per person. For the route to Yerevan, prices start from €69.90 one way, per person.

Dan Air also continues to fly to Syria

The airline is maintaining its flights between Bucharest and Aleppo, with two departures per week on Wednesdays and Sundays. The route was launched while Damascus airport was unavailable and remains active.

A possible Bucharest–Beijing route

Separately, Air China, a member of the Star Alliance, may launch a regular route between Beijing and Bucharest, operating four times a week. If confirmed, this would be Romania's second long-haul route, after the New York service operated by HiSky. Official approvals from China's Civil Aviation Administration have not been publicly confirmed at this point.
