A powerful fire broke out Monday morning near the capital, at a warehouse used for storing plastics, located in Buftea.

“We are intervening to extinguish a fire at a storage facility in Buftea, the affected area being approximately 700 square meters,” announced representatives of ISU Bucharest – Ilfov.

Firefighters are working to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading to other storage areas. A protective setup has been established, and the roof is being dismantled.

The building, a single-story concrete structure, was used for storing plastic materials.

“The fire has been contained without spreading to neighboring areas. There are no injuries,” ISU specified.
