Minister of Development, Cseke Attila, has announced that the ministry is allocating nearly 255 million lei for seismic rehabilitation and strengthening works on 15 public facilities. These include educational institutions located in Bucharest and the counties of Maramureș, Teleorman, Olt, Dâmbovița, Constanța, Tulcea, Galați, and Gorj, as well as the Medical Rehabilitation Hospital in Băile Felix, Bihor County.

According to a press release issued Tuesday by the Ministry of Development, 254,837,491.33 lei will be allocated for the seismic strengthening and modernization of these 15 investment objectives.

Specifically, more than 89 million lei will be allocated through the National Investment Program for Hospital Strengthening “Mihail Cantacuzino” for the rehabilitation and modernization of the Medical Rehabilitation Hospital in Băile Felix, Bihor County.

Under the National Investment Program “Safe and Healthy Schools”, over 72 million lei will be directed toward the strengthening and modernization of:

• “Traian Vuia” Technological High School of Metrology in Sector 4, Bucharest
• The Gymnasium School in Câmpulung la Tisa (Maramureș County)
• The Public Kindergarten in Moșteni (Teleorman County)
• Four educational institutions in Olt County:
  • Racovița School in Voineasa
  • The Primary School in Ursoaia village
  • The Gymnasium School in Icoana village
  • Kindergarten No. 1 in Băbiciu

An additional 93 million lei will be allocated through the National Program for Strengthening Buildings with High Seismic Risk for the rehabilitation, seismic consolidation, and energy efficiency improvements of the following:

• Gymnasium School No. 127 in Sector 5, Bucharest
• “Ion Heliade Rădulescu” Theoretical High School in Târgoviște (Dâmbovița County)
• Gymnasium School No. 43 in Constanța
• Danubius Vocational School in Tulcea
• A building located at 1 Decembrie 1918 Street, No. 64, in Tecuci (Galați County)
• Gymnasium School in Gârdești village, Necșești commune (Teleorman County)
• Dobrița General School in Runcu commune (Gorj County), which will be repurposed as an administrative headquarters.
