Two trams were involved in an accident in Bucharest on Wednesday, with two individuals requiring medical assistance.

"On July 30, at around 12:40 PM, the Traffic Police Brigade was notified via the 112 emergency number regarding a traffic accident at the intersection of Giurgiului Road and Olteniței Road, involving two trams," the Capital’s Traffic Police Brigade announced on Wednesday.

According to the same source, two people received medical attention at the scene as a result of the accident, but hospitalization was not necessary.

"Both tram drivers were tested with the available equipment, and the results were zero and negative, respectively," the statement added.

Tram traffic is currently restricted in the direction toward Giurgiului Road.
