Calea Victoriei, pedestrian-only again on the weekend of August 9–10

Calea Victoriei will once again be transformed into a pedestrian promenade, temporarily free from road traffic, during the weekend of August 9–10.
Calea Victoriei will host a variety of activities for all ages, brought to life by street artists. In addition, on August 9 and 10, between 10:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., visitors are also invited to the Filipescu-Cesianu House – Bucharest Municipality Museum, where they can explore the permanent exhibitions “The Museum of Ages – from Childhood to Old Age” and “Near the Saints: The Frescoes of Văcăreşti Monastery After 40 Years” (access is based on ticket purchase).

Traffic restrictions: Calea Victoriei, Piaţa Amzei Street, and Christian Tell Street
As part of this weekend’s “Open Streets – Bucharest, Urban Promenade” program, Calea Victoriei will be pedestrian-only on August 9 and 10, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., on the road segment between Dacia Boulevard and the intersection with Splaiul Independenţei, without affecting the intersections. Crossing Calea Victoriei will be allowed via Ştirbei Vodă Street, C.A. Rosetti Street, Dem I. Dobrescu Street, Ion Câmpineanu Street, and Regina Elisabeta Boulevard.
Public transport operated by the Bucharest Transport Company will be rerouted without affecting passengers. Road traffic on Calea Victoriei will resume overnight (from Saturday to Sunday), from 11:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m. For participants’ safety, bicycle lanes will also be closed on streets without car traffic.
Piaţa Amzei Street (the section between Calea Victoriei and Piaţa Amzei) and Christian Tell Street (the section between Biserica Amzei Street and Piaţa Amzei Street) will also be pedestrian-only on August 9 and 10, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
