Bucharest Sculpture Days has a radical and necessary theme this year: #celălaltcorp - an exhibition of contemporary and transmedia sculpture that foregrounds the human figure as a space of tension between norm and identity, between history and future, between the physical and the augmented body. The event takes place from April 26 to May 11, in the spaces of Galeriei SENAT, Galeriei The Institute and the courtyard of the Combinatului Fondului Plastic in Bucharest. The official opening takes place on April 26 at 18:00.
"There is a body that we easily recognize: the one in the mirror, the one in the glossy advertisements, the learned, modeled, accepted. But there is the other body. The body rewritten by trauma, love, identity. The augmented, politicized, vulnerable body. The body that doesn't fit into the rules, but explodes into forms. We challenge you to look beyond the surface. Because in art - as in life - what you see is not all there is," according to curator Reka Csapo Dup.

The exhibition #cel otrocorp can be visited every day between 12:00 and 18:00. Admission is free.
