Bucharest residents will get to experience, for the first time, a type of gaming unlike anything they’ve seen before: full virtual reality, intense competition, and real physical movement—all in one place. EVA (Esports Virtual Arenas), a concept present in over 50 locations worldwide, is coming to Romania with a unique formula that blends electronic sports, cutting-edge technology, and teamwork.

The new EVA venue in Bucharest features two arenas, each 500 square meters, where teams of up to 5 players battle in VR games for victory. The space is designed for wireless experiences, without PC backpacks or movement restrictions. Participants are equipped with next-generation VR headsets and 3D-printed weapons. The advanced tracking system records every player’s action in real time, prevents collisions, and enhances total immersion in the game. The gameplay is powered by a dedicated Wi-Fi 6 network, ensuring ultra-fast data transfer with zero latency.

“At EVA, we’re no longer talking about classic gaming with a keyboard and mouse. You’re literally inside the game, physically moving across the map. You enter a large arena, put on your VR headset, grab your weapon, and start the fight alongside your team. Everything happens in real time: you coordinate on the go, communicate, dodge, regroup. It’s like a mix between a video game, a paintball match, and a team workout,” explained Louis Goulet, CEO of EVA Romania.

Teams of four or five players can move freely around the arena, running, hiding behind virtual objects, and trying to outplay their opponents in intense, dynamic matches that last 40 minutes.

Players can choose between two games developed by EVA: After-H: Battle Arena, a tactical shooter set in post-apocalyptic futuristic worlds, and Moon of the Dead, a cooperative survival experience in a zombie-infested environment. After-H: Battle Arena is specifically designed for VR competitions, but both games combine strategy, fast reflexes, and physical coordination. While players battle in the arena, matches can be watched live by spectators outside, enhancing the thrilling competition atmosphere.

Originally from France and now present on three continents, EVA has built a strong global esports ecosystem, with local, national, and international leagues. The network currently includes thousands of active players and hundreds of teams, with matches broadcast live and professionally commented. Romania will now be part of this network, and in the future, it will host its own competitions.

EVA is not just about competition—it’s also a space for relaxation. In addition to the two VR arenas, visitors can dine at the themed restaurant, enjoy a cocktail at the Cyberbar, and relax in social areas where they can watch live action from the arenas.

With EVA’s launch in Romania, Bucharest becomes a new strategic point on the brand’s expansion map in Central and Eastern Europe. The new venue aims to attract fans of immersive experiences and people looking to discover a new kind of active and social entertainment.
