The baccalaureate exam pass rate is 74.3%, lower than in 2024, when it was 76.4%, the Ministry of Education announced along with the publication of the exam results. A total of 24 candidates obtained a perfect 10 average in the written exams.

"According to data recorded in the exam platform, the overall pass rate (for all graduating classes), before appeals, is 74.3% (compared to 76.4% in the first session of last year). Thus, a total of 77,805 candidates passed the exam (73,859 from the current graduating class and 3,946 from previous classes), out of 104,675 who were present," announced the Ministry of Education along with the publication of the baccalaureate results.

For the current class, the success rate is 79.9% (compared to 81.5% in June–July 2024), while for candidates from previous years, the percentage stands at 32.1% (compared to 31.9% in June–July 2024).

A total of 24 candidates achieved a perfect score of 10 in the written exams, including one candidate who took the exam in a special session.

The highest number of candidates (13,598 – from all classes) earned final grades between 9 and 9.49.

A total of 3,281 candidates did not attend the exam, and 64 were disqualified.

Number of perfect scores (10) by subject:

  • Romanian Language and Literature: 220
  • Native Language and Literature: 24
  • Mandatory subject based on specialization: 3,700 (Mathematics: 2,551; History: 1,149)
  • Elective subject based on specialization: 3,221 (most perfect scores were in Logic and Argumentation: 914)

Appeals can be submitted or sent on Friday, between 14:00 and 18:00, and on June 23 and 24.

Candidates may request to view their own papers after the publication of the initial results, according to the procedure established by the National Baccalaureate Commission. For the viewing session, underage candidates must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Submitting an appeal is not conditional on viewing the paper(s). Similarly, viewing a paper does not oblige a candidate to submit an appeal.

Candidates who appeal the initial evaluation result must fill out, sign, and submit (or send electronically) a standard declaration form acknowledging that the final grade, following the review process, may either increase or decrease compared to the original grade.

Results are published anonymously, using individual codes that replace candidates' names. These codes were distributed at the first written exam, based on signature confirmation.

The final results, after the appeals are resolved, will be published on June 30. On the same day, the Ministry of Education and Research will hold a press conference with the participation of the Minister of Education and Research, Daniel David, where the conclusions of the first exam session will be presented.

To pass the exam, a high school graduate must cumulatively meet the following conditions:

  • take all linguistic and digital competency assessments;
  • take all written exams and obtain at least grade 5 in each;
  • obtain an average of at least 6 across all written exams.
