Anti-corruption prosecutors conduct raids in Bucharest and Dâmbovița, including at Central Military Hospital

On Thursday, Romania’s National Anticorruption Directorate (DNA) carried out four searches in Bucharest and Dâmbovița County, one of which targeted the Central Military Hospital in the capital.

According to a statement from the DNA, the investigation focuses on suspected corruption offenses committed by military medical personnel during the 2024–2025 period.

"Prosecutors from the National Anticorruption Directorate – the division handling cases involving corruption offenses committed by military personnel – are conducting investigations into allegations of corruption by military medical staff between 2024 and 2025," the agency announced Thursday.

The DNA confirmed that four search warrants were executed: two at offices within a public institution, and two at the private residences of individuals under investigation. One of the public institutions involved is the Central Military Hospital in Bucharest.
