Section 9 is responsible for maintaining public order and the safety of citizens in the area. Its duties include preventing and combating crimes such as theft, street violence and economic crime, as well as road safety through patrols and traffic interventions.

Precinct 9 also runs public education and crime prevention campaigns, promoting collaboration between citizens and law enforcement to reduce the risk of crime. The precinct's officers are also involved in protecting victims of domestic violence and handling emergency situations.
