The Villa. Event House occupies a listed historic building on Strada Negustori 16, in Bucharest's Armenian Quarter. The story of the place goes back well before its current purpose: in the first half of the 19th century, the land belonged to boyar Costache Păucescu, and the property still had the look of a traditional household, with a garden, cellars, and outbuildings.

Between 1860 and 1872, the house was home to poet Dimitrie Bolintineanu. It's where he wrote "Menadele" and "Plângerile României," and where he died, in 1872. A decade later, in 1883, French architect Paul Gottereau — the same architect behind the CEC Palace, the Royal Palace, and the Carol I University Foundation — was hired by surgeon Alexandru Racoviceanu to transform the residence. The result is an eclectic building in the Beaux-Arts style: high ceilings, elaborate stuccoes, a glassed-in conservatory, and an urban-style inner courtyard.

The full restoration happened in 2023, backed by an investment of over two million euros. The façades, terracotta stoves, ornamental beams, and stuccoes were brought back to their original form, with audio-video systems, smart lighting, and climate control worked in on top of that.

The space now runs as a premium event venue, split into two main areas. The Orangerie covers 150 square meters, has glass walls running the full perimeter, and seats up to 120 people — built for weddings, milestone birthdays, and christenings, with separate spaces for parents or for the couple, depending on the occasion. The Loft brings a more contemporary feel, suited to corporate events, product launches, or conferences. The inner courtyard and lounge area, 220 square meters, connects the two spaces and gets used for welcome drinks, photo corners, or outdoor parties.
