The National Cathedral will be open every day from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. during the period December 24, 2025 – January 8, 2026, the Romanian Patriarchate announced.

During the feasts of the Nativity of the Lord, the New Year, and the Baptism of the Lord, pilgrims and visitors from across the country and from abroad will be able to visit and venerate at the National Cathedral.

During the period mentioned, the National Cathedral will be open only for visits and veneration, not for the celebration of liturgical services. Liturgical services will continue to be held at the historic Patriarchal Cathedral of Saints Constantine and Helena on Patriarchal Hill, as well as at the Chapel of the Cathedral of the Salvation of the Nation.

Starting January 9, 2026, the National Cathedral will be closed again in order to continue interior works.
