Casa Mița Biciclista will become a landmark of Bucharest’s festive atmosphere on December 20. On Saturday evening, starting at 7:00 PM, in front of the historic building at 9 Biserica Amzei Street, the National Chamber Choir “Madrigal – Marin Constantin” will perform an open-air Christmas carol concert with free access.

The event is conceived as a gift to the city and to the community that has formed around La Mița Biciclista Creative Venue. The concert takes place in the context of this year’s artistic installation on the building’s façade, titled “The Star of Hope that Guided the Magi,” which becomes the visual backdrop for a musical moment dedicated to Christmas.

“This is our way of giving back to the city the energy we received this year. Madrigal is an emblematic institution of our culture, and the meeting between this renowned choir and La Mița Biciclista marks an urban ceremony of the holidays: a splendid intersection between the fascinating universe of unmistakable carols and today’s world. A pretext for us to meet again and be together,” says Edmond Niculușcă, co-founder of La Mița Biciclista.

The concert aligns with La Mița Biciclista’s end-of-year thematic focus, centered on the idea of encounter and community. During the same period, the public can also visit the event exhibition “Encounters. Or how a new world is born,” open daily on the upper floor and in the attic of the house, as part of the venue’s cultural program.

Founded in 1963 by conductor Marin Constantin, the Madrigal Choir is one of the most prestigious choral ensembles in Europe. Renowned for its distinctive timbre and artistic rigor, Madrigal plays an essential role in promoting Romanian choral music and traditional repertoire, including Christmas carols.
