Bucharest Police Section 16 is responsible for maintaining public order and ensuring the safety of citizens in its area of competence. Its duties include preventing and combating crime, including theft, street violence and economic crime, as well as road safety through patrols and rapid intervention in traffic.

Precinct 16 is actively involved in public education and crime prevention, promoting close police-community collaboration for a safer environment. Officers are also dedicated to protecting victims of domestic violence and responding effectively to emergencies.
