Gymnasium School No. 181 is located at 30 Nazarcea Street, in Sector 1 of Bucharest. Founded in 1953 as the “Mixed School with 7 Grades,” it expanded in 1977 with a new building and became “School with Grades I–VIII No. 181.”

The school operates in a single shift, with classes for grades I–VIII running from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM, offering a practical schedule for students and parents.

It has 25 classrooms equipped with video projectors, interactive whiteboards, and wireless internet. There are four specialized laboratories for IT, physics/chemistry, biology, and religion.
For student safety, the building is monitored by 16 indoor and 6 outdoor cameras, and is secured with an anti-fire and anti-burglary system, along with four emergency exits, one dedicated to the kindergarten section.

Academically, the school recorded an average score of 5.65 at the 2024 National Evaluation, with an average of 6.11 in Romanian language and 5.19 in mathematics, from a cohort of 36 graduates.

The school offers a free After School program for grades 0–IV and organizes activities such as dance, ballet, karate, trips, and sports competitions.
