How much it costs to park at Otopeni, and which option is best

A new parking structure is set to open at Henri Coandă Airport in Otopeni, with four floors and more than 1,000 spaces, located next to the Arrivals building. The rate hasn't been set yet. Until an official announcement, the question remains the same for anyone leaving a car at the airport for a week or a month: what does parking at Otopeni actually cost, and which option offers the best value.
Official CNAB Rates
According to the website of the National Company Bucharest Airports, long-term parking at Henri Coandă (P3) is charged as follows: 100 lei for the first 24 hours, an amount that applies to each of the first four days. From the fifth day onward, 10 lei is added per additional day, up to a maximum of 30 days. A week therefore costs 430 lei, and a full month comes to 660 lei. Each day is billed in full regardless of how many hours the car actually stays, and a lost ticket carries a 500-lei surcharge.
For short stays dedicated to picking up or dropping off a passenger, the airport separately operates the Departures lot (P7), officially opened in May 2026, with 671 spaces. Its rate is hourly: 20 lei per hour, billable in 30-minute increments at 10 lei. By comparison, at Cluj-Napoca Airport an hour of parking costs 8 lei, with the first 10 minutes free.
Private Operators Around the Airport
Several private parking operators run lots in the immediate vicinity of the airport, each with its own rate structure that decreases with the length of stay.
Park4Fly lists a rate of 68 lei for the first day (54.40 lei at the listed site price, 48.96 lei with online payment), which drops progressively to 25.60 lei a day for stays of more than 23 days. A week of parking costs 210 lei; a full month, 768 lei.
Parcareinotopeni.ro applies a fixed rate for the first seven days, followed by a 10-lei surcharge for each additional day. A week costs 129.99 lei with an online booking, or 180 lei without one, while a full month comes to roughly 360 lei.
Parkado prices by interval, with a 10% discount for online payment. The operator cites a reference example for seven days: 113.4 lei paid online or 126 lei paid on-site.
Comparing the Rates Over Time
For a week of parking, the gap clearly favors private operators: 430 lei at the official lot, versus 113-210 lei at private ones, depending on the provider. Even the most expensive private option comes in at roughly half the official rate.
The picture shifts for a full month. Parcareinotopeni stays below the official rate, at around 360 lei versus 660 lei. Park4Fly, on the other hand, reaches 768 lei for the same period — more than the official rate, since the discount for longer stays doesn't offset the higher starting price.
The lower cost of private lots typically comes with a 3-5 minute shuttle ride to the terminal, unlike the direct access offered by official parking. On the return trip, operators say they track landing times and arrange pickup without requiring an explicit request from the customer, and free cancellation with 24-48 hours' notice is standard practice across the industry.
What Comes Next
The new 1,000-plus space parking structure near Arrivals doesn't have a public rate yet. What is known is that it has four floors and was built to make up for the capacity lost when the P2 (Arrivals) lot was taken out of service for structural reinforcement work, a closure that runs until February 28, 2027.
For a short stay of a few hours, the Departures lot remains the most practical option, at 20 lei an hour. For a week, the advantage clearly belongs to private operators, regardless of provider — at half the official rate or less. For a full month, the choice calls for a closer look: some operators stay below the CNAB rate, others exceed it, so the right decision comes from a concrete calculation at the time of booking, not from a general assumption that private parking is always cheaper.
