Unirea Shopping Center is one of the oldest shopping malls in Bucharest, located right in the center of the city, in Piața Unirii. Opened in 1976 and expanded in 1989, it was once the largest department store in communist Romania. Today, it spans about 83,971 m² across 4 floors, with a parking capacity of 1,000 spaces. It’s easily accessible via the Piața Unirii metro station.

Over the years, Unirea has modernized and added new commercial spaces, but recently, some areas have remained vacant or closed, while the façade was renovated to meet contemporary standards. The mall now houses around 250 stores, including international brands like Zara, Bershka, Stradivarius, Koton, and Pull&Bear. It also offers a variety of services, including restaurants, cafes, and a cinema.

Unirea Shopping Center continues to be an iconic spot for shopping lovers in central Bucharest, offering a blend of history, commercial diversity, and accessibility.
