- Description: This is a major center for the treatment of infectious and tropical diseases, including tuberculosis, viral hepatitis and other communicable diseases. The hospital was also a key point in the management of COVID-19 cases in Bucharest. Established in 1956 to respond to the need for isolation of acute viral hepatitis cases in Bucharest, the hospital benefited from the beginning from the expertise of outstanding infectious diseases teachers transferred from the Colentina Infectious Diseases Hospital. To access these services, patients need an ID card, birth certificate (for children), a referral slip from their family doctor and a health card.
