Polizu Maternity Hospital, part of the “Alessandrescu-Rusescu” National Institute for Mother and Child Health, is one of the oldest and most highly regarded obstetrics and gynecology units in Bucharest. The hospital offers a wide range of specialized medical services in childbirth, fertility, high-risk pregnancies, and neonatology, and is known for the expertise of its medical team. 

It is a major center for both natural births and C-sections, as well as for the management of complex pregnancies. The facility is equipped with modern technology, well-equipped operating rooms, and a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). Many expectant mothers choose Polizu for its high standard of care and the option to give birth with their chosen physician. As a university hospital, it is also involved in medical education and research.

How to get there: Polizu Maternity is located at 38–50 Gheorghe Polizu Street, in Sector 1. It is easily accessible by metro – Gara de Nord station, as well as by tram 1, trolleybuses 62 and 85, and buses 123, 178, and 282.
