Special Gymnasium School No. 4, located in Sector 4 of Bucharest, is an educational institution dedicated to children with special educational needs, including autism, Down syndrome, ADHD, and severe or profound intellectual disabilities. The school provides preschool, primary, and middle school education, all customized to the individual needs of each student.
It currently operates in a modern three-story building, part of the Dacia School Group, meeting European quality standards. However, in 2024, the school faced challenges related to specialized equipment, notably the lack of a multisensory room—a key resource for sensory stimulation and cognitive development in students with disabilities.
The school is actively involved in European educational programs like Erasmus+ and runs inclusive initiatives such as “I’m a Child Like You”, promoting equal opportunities and social inclusion. Another project, “Model Parents, Model Children,” focuses on strengthening the parent-teacher-student relationship, supporting a harmonious learning environment.
With a team of highly trained and dedicated educators, Special Gymnasium School No. 4 stands as a vital institution in inclusive education, providing a supportive and adapted setting for every student to grow and thrive.
