Petre Ghelmez Secondary School No. 58, formerly known as School No. 58, is an educational institution with over six decades of tradition, located at 124 Pescărușului Street in Sector 2, Bucharest.

Founded in 1959, the school was renamed in 2004 in honor of the poet Petre Ghelmez, who had a strong connection with the institution and actively participated in its cultural events. Every year, between March 2–9, the school holds the "Petre Ghelmez Cultural Week", celebrating the poet's work and legacy.

The school promotes an educational model based on values such as creativity, civic responsibility, and personal development. Its curriculum includes modern subjects like computer science and environmental education, while extracurricular activities are varied and reflect students' interests.

The school has established strong partnerships with the local community and participates in European projects, such as the Erasmus+ KA210 "EcoStyle Revolution", opening new educational horizons for both students and teachers.

Its infrastructure meets current standards and includes science labs, a gym and sports field, a medical office, and educational counseling services. A small auditorium with around 60 seats hosts cultural and artistic events throughout the year.

The average score obtained by students of Petre Ghelmez Secondary School No. 58 in the 2024 National Evaluation was approximately 7.07, reflecting a moderate to good academic performance

Graduates of the school have continued their studies at prestigious institutions, and some—such as Iolanda Stăniloiu and Gilda Lazăr—have become prominent figures in journalism.
