If you want to find a common ground between Bucharest, Barcelona, Las Vegas and Dubai, then water, music and light shows are certainly an honest answer, not exaggerated. And that's because the Urban Fountains at Unirii are in line with the highest international standards, offering onlookers a true night-time spectacle on summer evenings. And if you don't believe us, we have the confirmation: in 2019, the World Record Academy recognized the fountains in Unirii Square as having the "World's Longest Synchronized Choreographed Choreographic Fountain String", with a water surface of 16,200 m², standing out for their unique layout.
Although built in 1987 and later left in disrepair, in 2019, after 4 years of renovations, the Urban Fountains began to shine, or rather, to give the center of the Capital the sparkle it needed.
Bucharest's fountains in Unirii Square are the first urban fountains to benefit from state-of-the-art equipment and technology at European level. The project team included internationally renowned companies, architects, museographers, water entertainment and audio-video design specialists, and some of the elements used are unique in Europe.
The Bucharest Fountains shows were designed to take visitors on a journey through 7 worlds that speak about Romania - the world of water, fire, earth, air, the plant world and the world of the Centenary, all prefaced by the astral world.
Definitely worth enjoying their show!
