Better Bread is a 100% gluten-free artisan bakery, created from personal need and grown with purpose. Located in Floreasca, on a quiet street, it’s the first dedicated gluten-free bakery in Bucharest. The bread here is made with natural sourdough, fermented slowly, using over 20 types of alternative flours — including buckwheat, millet, sorghum, quinoa, teff, and more.

The result? Bread with structure — crisp crust, dense crumb, and actual flavor. Nothing about it feels like a substitute. You'll also find pastries, cookies, focaccia, and granola — all gluten-free, many also refined sugar-free.

Everything is handcrafted, with strict control over every batch: slow fermentation (24h), stone-style baking, and certified ingredients sourced from Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, and the Czech Republic. Prices are higher, yes, but reflect the quality and care behind each loaf. Among the gluten-free community, reviews are consistent: “The best gluten-free bread I’ve ever tried.” 

The interior is small and functional, with no unnecessary flair — but it’s the kind of place where you know you’re making a safe and genuinely good choice. Prices are on the higher side, but they’re justified by the use of certified imported ingredients from Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, and the Czech Republic — with no compromise on quality.
