Comana Natural Park

Comana Natural Park is a protected area in Romania, located in Giurgiu County, approximately 40 km south of Bucharest. Established in 2005, the park spans over 24,963 hectares and is the second-largest wetland in Romania after the Danube Delta. It offers a rich biodiversity, including numerous bird species, and provides various recreational activities such as kayaking, cycling, and hiking. ​

How to get there

  • By Car: The most convenient way is to drive via DN5, heading south from Bucharest. The journey typically takes around 45–60 minutes.​
  • By Public Transport: You can take a bus from Bucharest to Mihai Bravu, followed by a taxi to the park. The total travel time is approximately 1 hour and 12 minutes. ​
