Velonova Mirage Museum is on Strada Constantin Mille no. 18, third floor, Sector 1, a short walk from University Square and Cișmigiu Park. It opened in spring 2024 — Romania's first 3D museum, backed by an initial investment of over €100,000.
The museum has 15 themed rooms with optical illusions and three-dimensional installations, built more for interacting and photographing than for viewing from a distance. One set drops you into a savanna, another puts you next to Batman, another flips your sense of perspective entirely, with angles that completely change how a photo reads. The museum also includes a separate exhibition of sculptures made from recycled metal, plus themed corners designed specifically for photos.
Eight months after opening, the owners expanded the space with a further €80,000 investment, and by the end of 2025 total investment had reached roughly €200,000. At the start of 2026, they also launched a division dedicated to corporate and private events, hosted directly inside the museum space.
