Romanian Record Museum i

By Tronaru Iulia

  • LOCATION

The Romanian Record Museum is one of the most unconventional cultural spaces in Bucharest, built around the idea of collecting taken to an extreme and validated through recognitions from Guinness World Records. Located in a central area, the museum houses impressive collections in both scale and diversity, the most notable being its corkscrew collection — considered the largest in the world. Beyond this record, the space functions as a visual archive of obsession with objects, where each item reflects not so much utility as it does persistence, passion, and accumulation.

The visit unfolds differently from a traditional museum experience, feeling more exploratory, without a rigid route or imposed narrative. It is the kind of place that continuously sparks curiosity through its density and unpredictability. For both children and adults, the experience leans more toward discovery and observation than formal education.
