Școala Gimnazială Nr. 280 “Mihail Sebastian” is located in Sector 5, Bucharest, with two buildings: the main one on Str. Sergent Gheorghe Donici nr. 4A and another on Calea Rahovei, within the Electromagnetica complex. 

In 2024, the average grade at the National Evaluation was 7.94, with 8.18 in Romanian and 7.72 in Math, out of 156 students. 

The school covers both primary and lower secondary cycles, operating in three shifts from 8:00 to 20:00. It is equipped with 20 classrooms, 5 specialized labs and cabinets, a modern gym, a medical office, and a well-stocked library. The school also features a video surveillance system for student safety. Uniforms are mandatory, with options in white, navy blue, gray, and red.
