Mayor General: Nicușor Dan - independent

The PMB coordinates the work of the General Council of the Municipality of Bucharest, the sector mayors' offices and other subordinate institutions to ensure the proper functioning and development of the city for the benefit of its inhabitants. The Mayor General, elected by direct vote, represents the executive authority of the municipality and is responsible for the proper functioning of the local public administration. In exercising his or her powers, the Mayor General may delegate certain responsibilities to the Deputy Mayors, the Public Administrator or other officials within the City Hall. For example, in February 2025, Mayor General Nicușor Dan delegated part of his duties to the public administrator Lucian Judele and other officials in the city hall to ensure the continuity and efficiency of administrative activities.
