Amzei Square is an urban hub located between Romană Square and Calea Victoriei. The central modernist hall is now used mainly for events, fairs, and exhibitions, rather than daily food trade. Around it, you still find small neighborhood shops, but also cafés and restaurants that attract a younger crowd. In recent years, the area has grown into a cultural space, with new art galleries and independent initiatives. The square functions as a landmark in the city, even though its role as a traditional food market has diminished. The adjacent streets preserve interwar houses, giving the neighborhood a distinct character. For visitors, Amzei offers a mix of local services and urban activities that set it apart from other traditional markets in Bucharest.
