Autumn is one of the easiest seasons to bring into your home when it comes to decorating. A few decorative pumpkins, artificial leaves, candles, garlands, figurines, or textiles in shades of orange, brown, and gold can quickly change the atmosphere of a room. As Halloween approaches, the décor can become even more spectacular, with ghosts, bats, skeletons, spider webs, and illuminated decorations. In Bucharest, the range of stores preparing seasonal collections is increasingly diverse, and there are plenty of affordable options for those who do not want to spend too much. Some stores focus on small, easy-to-combine items, others offer collections for the entire home, while variety stores can be real destinations for those who want to decorate for a Halloween party. Among the places worth checking out are Pepco, Primark, Sinsay, Jumbo, and KiK. Each has a different profile, and the best choice depends on the desired style, budget, and how spectacular you want the decorations to be.

Pepco, one of the best options for affordable decorations

For those who want to decorate their home for autumn without spending too much, Pepco is probably one of the most practical choices. The retailer has seasonal collections dedicated to both autumn and Halloween, with products designed specifically for quickly changing the atmosphere of a home. Pepco recommends autumn items such as decorative pumpkins, leaf garlands, candles, candle holders, wreaths, and botanical decorations.

The current range also includes products dedicated to Halloween. Examples include illuminated LED decorative pumpkins, glowing ghosts, black LED candles, figurines, skeletons, skulls, raven decorations, and pumpkin-shaped miniatures. Prices displayed on the website are, in many cases, very affordable: for example, a decorative Halloween house is listed at 17 lei, while a set of eight mini autumn decorations costs 6 lei.

For a more understated décor, artificial leaf garlands, pumpkin and pinecone sets, or nature-inspired figurines can be interesting choices. Pepco also offers products that can be used in DIY projects, allowing decoration enthusiasts to create their own autumn arrangements.

There are numerous Pepco stores in Bucharest, including locations in central areas, shopping malls, and residential neighborhoods. One example is the Pepco store on Vasile Lascăr Street, but the selection may vary from one location to another. The company itself points out that some products are available only in certain stores and while stocks last.

Primark, for modern-looking autumn décor

Primark is best known for clothing and accessories, but its home collections also include a wide range of decorative products. The brand promotes the idea of decorating the home according to the season, recommending items inspired by harvest colors, autumn wreaths, and scented home products associated with this time of year.

One of Primark's advantages is that it allows customers to create a décor that does not necessarily have to be heavily themed or explicitly Halloween-related. For an elegant living room, for example, candles, vases, decorative containers, textiles, and small ornaments in warm tones can be combined. The current home decoration range includes ceramic vases, LED ceramic decorations, candle holders, abstract ornaments, and LED candles.

For Halloween, Primark can be a good choice for people who prefer seasonal accents incorporated into a broader décor rather than completely transforming their home into a haunted house. A candle, ornament, vase, or a few themed accessories may be enough to introduce the spirit of the season.

In Bucharest, Primark currently has two stores, at AFI Cotroceni and ParkLake, according to the official store locator. The AFI Cotroceni location houses a Primark store, while another Primark can be found in ParkLake. For those who want to combine home shopping with clothing purchases, both locations can easily be included in a seasonal shopping trip.

Sinsay, for combinations of autumn, Halloween, and home décor

Sinsay has become an important destination for homeware in recent years, not just for clothing. Its Home collections include textiles, decorative objects, kitchen accessories, candles, containers, and seasonal products, while the selection changes frequently.

For autumn, decorations shaped like leaves, animals, or other nature-inspired elements are suitable. The Sinsay online selection includes, for example, an autumn decorative wreath featuring a hedgehog motif and a vertical leaf-shaped decoration. Such items are useful for people who want seasonal décor that can remain in the home even after Halloween.

For those who prefer a more spectacular atmosphere, Sinsay also offers Halloween-themed products. The available items may vary, but the category includes decorations and accessories that can be used to decorate the dining table, living room, windows, or even the entrance to the home. The selection can be checked both online and in physical stores.

In Bucharest, Sinsay can be found in several shopping areas. Easily accessible locations include the Sinsay store in AFI Cotroceni, Sinsay in Mega Mall, and Sinsay in ParkLake. The wide network of stores is an important advantage, although the availability of seasonal products may also vary depending on the location.

Jumbo, the right place for spectacular Halloween decorations

If the goal is to transform your home into a Halloween setting that immediately catches the eye, Jumbo deserves a place on your shopping list. Unlike stores focused mainly on fashion or small home accessories, Jumbo has a very broad format, combining toys with party supplies, hobby products, home items, and seasonal decorations.

The Halloween selection may include objects of very different types and sizes, from paper or foam decorations to products featuring lights, sounds, and movement. Examples include a paper skeleton decoration, a foam “RIP” decoration, a decorative dome with a pumpkin and spiders, and a Halloween skull with sound, light, and motion effects.

This type of product can make a difference when it comes to a party or a children's-themed setting. Instead of using just a few discreet accessories, you can create an entire Halloween scene with skeletons, ghosts, bats, pumpkins, and illuminated elements.

In Bucharest, there are several Jumbo locations, including Jumbo on Theodor Pallady Boulevard and Jumbo Toy Market in the Berceni area. For a shopping trip dedicated exclusively to Halloween, stores of this type are particularly useful because of their very wide variety.

KiK, an alternative for seasonal decorations and accessories

KiK is a less obvious option, but it is worth considering when looking for affordable home decorations. The company presents itself as a discount retailer for the whole family, and its range is not limited to clothing. Its selection also includes home accessories, decorations, textiles, toys, and other non-food products.

The advantage for shoppers is the frequent rotation of the product range. KiK stores have generous sales areas, and the company says that it aims for a harmonious presentation of its products, including themed displays for certain collections. For the autumn and Halloween seasons, this means that it is worth checking the home and decoration section when seasonal collections are introduced.

There are several KiK stores in Bucharest, including KiK on Timișoara Boulevard and KiK Bukarest in Grand Arena Mall. The company has an extensive network in Romania, and the selection may differ from one store to another.

A successful autumn décor does not require buying dozens of objects. Sometimes, a few carefully selected pieces are enough: a leaf garland, several decorative pumpkins, a candle, a wreath, and an illuminated object can completely change the atmosphere of a room. For Halloween, these elements can be complemented with ghosts, skeletons, bats, or spider webs.

Before shopping, it is also worth deciding what kind of style you want. For an elegant décor, shades of brown, cream, burnt orange, and gold work particularly well. For a Halloween party, the classic combination of black and orange can be complemented by LED lights and themed figurines. And for homes with children, playful decorations featuring pumpkins, ghosts, and animals are a cheerful alternative to horror-inspired motifs.

The five stores therefore offer options for different budgets and styles. Pepco is particularly suitable for inexpensive seasonal shopping, Primark for modern and more understated décor, Sinsay for home accessories and versatile combinations, Jumbo for spectacular Halloween decorations, and KiK for small discoveries and affordable home items. Seasonal selections change quickly, however, so the most popular products may disappear from stores well before October 31.
