Dâmbovița Delivery – a Neighborhood Project under “Open Streets”, Initiated by ARCUB
As part of the partner projects series held in Bucharest neighborhoods through “Open Streets – Bucharest, Urban Promenade” 2025, initiated by ARCUB, Dâmbovița Delivery brings a weekend filled with artistic and civic interventions to the Timpuri Noi Pier area (Splaiul Unirii 96–114). Organized by Nod Makerspace, the event features installations and live performances, eco-social workshops, interactive debates, dance, and participatory design—encouraging community reconnection with public space.
Calea Victoriei: Urban Installations, Concerts, and Live Art
On Sunday, June 8, Calea Victoriei becomes a cultural hotspot with scenographic installations, open-air exhibitions, painting demonstrations, and musical performances. Visitors can enjoy an installation by Odeon Theatre, an interactive workshop by the National Museum of Romanian Literature, visual art demos by the Association of Plastic Artists, and a display of vintage Italian cars (Ruote Classiche Italiane) marking Italy’s National Day.
The day ends with two open-air concerts: Alexandra Stan at CEC Palace and Damian Drăghici on a mobile route between the Military Circle and Amzei Square. Skateboarding shows will also animate the area near Kretzulescu Park.
Shows, Concerts, and Family Activities in Sector 2
Vasile Băcilă Street in Sector 2 transforms again this weekend into a lively, all-ages recreational space organized by PROEDUS. The program includes children's theatre plays (The Three Little Pigs, The Goat and Her Three Kids, Puss in Boots), folk and pop concerts by the Bucharest School of Arts, contemporary dance, and street performances by the Metropolitan Circus.
Throughout the weekend, visitors can enjoy play areas, sports contests (ping-pong, foosball, checkers, giant dominoes), creative workshops, mini-tournaments, live portraits, and educational activities offered by the Metropolitan Library and the Romanian Gendarmerie.
Now in its sixth weekend, the “Open Streets – Bucharest, Urban Promenade” 2025 program continues to revitalize key areas of the city with a mix of culture, sport, and artistic interventions for the people of the capital. Full program details are available on arcub.ro, proedus.ro, and on the organizers’ social media pages.
Organized by the Bucharest City Hall through ARCUB – the Cultural Center of Bucharest, and PROEDUS – the Center for Educational and Sports Projects.
