The Bucharest Administration of Hospitals and Medical Services (ASSMB) announced on Monday that contracts worth 15.6 million lei have been signed for the acquisition of high-performance medical equipment for Colentina Clinical Hospital.
“We continue to modernize Bucharest’s hospitals! ASSMB has recently signed contracts worth over 15.6 million lei (approximately 3.06 million euros) to equip Colentina Clinical Hospital — a nationally renowned medical institution — with state-of-the-art technology,” ASSMB representatives stated on Monday.
According to the announcement, the new equipment — including an ultrasound electrosurgery platform, next-generation ultrasound systems, anesthesia machines, an angiography system, surgical lasers, and other advanced medical devices — will be distributed across multiple departments: ICU, Surgery, Neurology, Cardiology, Rheumatology, Dermatology, Gastroenterology, ENT, Radiology, Urology, Rehabilitation, and Pathology.
The investment aims to enhance both the quality and efficiency of medical services for the tens of thousands of patients who receive consultations and treatment at Colentina Clinical Hospital every month.
“This is an investment in the health of patients from Bucharest and across the country — particularly those with chronic conditions who come in large numbers to Colentina Hospital. The new equipment will strengthen the hospital’s capacity to treat even the most complex medical cases,” said Iustinian Roșca, General Director of ASSMB.
