Gaep Gallery, founded in 2014, is a contemporary art space located at 8 Giuseppe Garibaldi Street in Bucharest. Founded by Andrei Breahnă and Raluca Șoaita, the gallery initially focused on promoting artistic practices from Eastern Europe but has since expanded its scope to include international artists, addressing sociopolitical themes and diverse generational perspectives.
In October 2023, Gaep moved to a newly designed space that offers a fresh and modern experience for gallery visitors in Bucharest. The gallery's program features a variety of exhibitions, both solo and group shows, with established and emerging artists.
Notable exhibitions include Acts of In-Between by Adrian Cojocaru, which explored rituals around food and meals, and Tender Days by Croatian artist Damir Očko, addressing themes such as language, violence, and resistance. The gallery is open to the public Thursday through Saturday from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and visits from Sunday to Wednesday are by appointment only.
